You will need a 140# Cold Press watercolor journal or watercolor paper, see link when register.
All other materials, watercolor paints and brushes will be provided. These are student grade, so
please feel free to bring your own.
*We will meet at the “Sound Garden”, at 398 Chestnut Street. This class is outdoors, please
dress appropriately! (Sunscreen, bug spray, hat, camp chair and water.) In case of rain we will
be at UNA.

Description:
Enjoy summer through watercolor! We’ll learn watercolor basics, then sketch and paint outdoors
in Cadillac’s own beautiful Sound Garden. In journaling anything goes! Watercolor journaling is
a fun, easy, relaxing way to explore and express yourself while capturing nature’s beautiful
colors you enjoy in summer.
You will need a 140 lb. Cold Press watercolor journal, see link below, or watercolor paper. All
other materials, watercolor paints and brushes will be provided. These are student grade, so
please feel free to bring your own.

MATERIALS WE PROVIDE:
*Watercolors and; Brushes (*please note these are student grade materials, if you have painted previously we strongly encourage you to bring your own watercolor paints and brushes)
*Practice watercolor paper, newsprint/soft crayons
*Clipboards/Foam Board, water cups, small zip lock bags
A “Nature Journal Kit” to lend to students
