Description: Dave Foley, professional writer and columnist, will conduct two, one hour writing classes to help participants put their recollections of family experiences down in story form.

We all have stories to tell.  And among children, grandchildren and friends there is an audience eager to hear about your past.  Ideally these important moments from your history can be recorded while they are fresh in your mind.  But even if these events happened years ago, if they are never shared with others, they will disappear.

A journal with your history helps others to learn about you.  Dave will help you to begin journaling or start a family history.  Ideas will be offered to help interview family members to help them recall special moments in their lives.

The first class offers introductory material to get you started.  You will be encouraged to write something that can be shared during the November 13th class.  The second class, on November 20th will offer more specifics on developing a writing style as well as techniques to communicate more effectively with readers.
